Hi. Is there any chance that we could see the class tree if there is one?

Several people have asked me for this. Unless someone downloaded it, I think it's gone. I don't have the program I used to create it anymore and apparently I didn't save the final graphical form because I had the original file, which I now can't read.

D'oh.

We have something like... used to have *sigh*... a class tree. Sinking! Sinking!

And what program did you use? What is that unreadable file's format?

In this thread
http://deepsinking.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=7898&start=45
the tree was described as an "incomprehensible 4-sheet Excel file"

If so it should be recoverable unless the file itself is corrupted.

I see. I was just wondering if there's a Paladin class and the requirements if there is one.

The base diagram document is in Adobe InDesign for Mac (.indd), a version so old (pre-CS I believe) that if anybody finds a copy they will probably have to scrape dinosaur poop off of it.

The data itself is indeed listed in an incomprehensible four-page Excel spreadsheet. The problem with that is that it's incomprehensible.

And no, there's no paladin here. They're all in World of Warcraft, busily rescuing damsels from the tar pits of the Ungoro Crater because Northrend is too cold for sinking.

The closest you can probably get is "Knight" or "Champion."

Here's the list, sans the dependencies that would qualify it as a "tree," extracted from the live database:

Code:

I think all of those are attainable except for "Deep Thinker" which was a one-off story contest prize.

I remember the graphic as a .png, but it was a while ago, so I wouldn't swear to it.

Thanks. How do you become a Knight/Sorcerer? Could I become a Sorcerer if I'm a Knight?

Awesome.

I need to write more and more popular stories so I can get to Mercenary.

If I read this right, the cross-class of Knight and Rescuer is "Veteran".
If "Paladin" is a desired title, I would suggest renaming "Veteran" to "Paladin".

Make it happen, code monkey! Punch that keyboard! Parse that text! And close those tags- you're letting the all the ether leak out of the net.

Nice idea! There should be a Paladin here if there's a Knight! Besides, there needs to be something to counter the Black Knight class.
